Creepy Super-Rich American Globalists managed many years ago to get their socialist and environmentalist minions in Canadian governments to deliberately make traditional protein foods too expensive to eat in quantity.  

The Globalist goal is to debilitate poor people, especially, with diabetes and cardiovascular disease, making them vote for more and more health care and old age care.
